Today, many of the Rosenwald schools are gone, lost to changing times and communities. The Shiloh Rosenwald School is one of the last remaining of these structures in Macon County. Shiloh, a Rosenwald school is listed on the U.S. Department of Interior National Register of Historic Places; listed on the Alabama Register of Landmarks and Heritage. The Rosenwald Schools are on the list of 11 Endangered Places by the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
